I'm dreaming of a white KITCHEN

I love my kitchen...sort of.
I loved it 5 years ago when we built the house. It's still beautiful...everyone that comes in the house says "Oh, your kitchen is beautiful" and I say "Thanks" but I think I'm ready for a change. I have dark cabinets, and I still love the style of the doors and the trim and the layout but I'd like to change the color. If I had a few nice pics of my kitchen I'd show you all...soon I will - I have a post in mind. If you visit my Pinterest board you'll see it`s filled with oodles of beautiful white & cream kitchens that I drool over. And all of those dark kitchen cabinets are beautiful too and in a few years I'll probably switch back to loving the dark kitchen cabinets but for now I am enjoying swooning over the lighter cabinets.

I stumbled across a great website,
Kitchen Resource Direct, that has the most beautiful kitchen cabinets - in all shades I might add - for the most reasonable prices. Their prices can turn a dream into reality.

Here are a few of the kitchens that I am swooning over!

Beautiful right?

I think the white cabinets with the dark
wood island is amazing.
I have the opposite in my kitchen, dark cabinets
with a cream island...but my kitchen is not near
as large and gorgeous as these.

great DIY page on their site where there
are tutorials and videos
of kitchen cabinet assembly instructions.
You can even send them your measurements
for a free design.

And check out this good deed:

Kitchen Resource Direct has partnered with the
Ocala National Forest to plant trees in honor of
your kitchen cabinet purchases.
For every cabinet you buy, a tree will be planted.

I like that!

swoon & drool
and then realize that new kitchen
cabinets may not be so much of
a dream as you originally thought!

This is a sponsored post for Kitchen Resource Direct although all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I LOVE that first kitchen especially! My cabinets are a honey maple and it matches my old library table and old hutch. But I'm so tempted to re-do the cabinets in white. I love that look!!

Oh wow, great kitchens to choose from. Me, I had white cabinets and they ended up old looking and yellow, so we remodeled it totally and now I have beautiful hard wood cabinets and I'm so happy, they look great and elegant..but then I love wood color much more than white furniture of any kind. I do understand you wanting a white kitchen after this fablous images. Enjoy the weekend.

I have cream cabinets with black backsplash, black Corian counter-tops and black/white floor now and I love it--it never gets old and always cheery because the morning sun comes in the garden window. The only drawback is that my kitchen is too small. No funds to re-do either...Oh well, maybe someday. But I love these photos!

Even thou I am not fond of white kitchens (only because that is all I have ever had) these are very pretty. But, for me I want a RED kitchen...with some white hi-lights. Please understand that in the VERY dusty environment that we live in, white NEVER, EVER stays WHITE! Would love to see your "new" kitchen.

Hickory cabinets here with white counter. I have the same thoughts as you. I worry in two years I will miss the wood but counter that with how bright and happy a white kitchen would be.

I love all these cabinets! I have old, painted white cabinets right now, but really need to replace them. I still would love white or maybe cream painted cabinets, with a black counter. (but I have to admit, JLL24's RED color she wants for cabinets sound fabulous!). I have had so much fun reading through many of your posts. Xo Lidy

I was doing the same thing..pinning like crazy every white kitchen I could get my hands on. Our house was only built 4 years ago, but I was tiring of the wood too, and white is so timeless, you just can't go wrong. I finally changed mine this summer - I love going in there EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Found you on Boogieboard Cottage - hope you'll stop by...

Sarah I am dreaming of a white kitchen also. I have the dark floor, but hubby would die if I wanted to paint my beautiful Alder cabinets white. I did talk him into letting me paint my island and fan hood aqua. I love it. The kitchen was just too much wood for me. We did not build our home. All of the walls are cream (except for the ones I have painted) and all of the wood trim and doors are tan. I am finally going to have all the trim painted white. After 3 years I can not deal with tan anymore. I need me some white! lol!

Jann

About a year ago, we redid our kitchen - there were dark cabinets in it as well & we wanted to brighten things up a bit! I chose Antique White Behr paint from Home Depot & love how it turned out!! Here's a link to my blog post about it - http://coleyscraftingcorner.blogspot.com/2012/06/kitchen-remodel-loving-gray.html
I'm sure if you end up going white, you'll love it!!
Good luck :)

Gorgeous inspiration, I wish I didn't go with dark cabinets when we remodeled 4 years ago. But my hubs would KILL me if I painted over Cherry cabinets. Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success!

Sorry... I have your dream kitchen. Creamy white with a cherry island. The granite counters are bright white with grey and burgundy(cherry) spots/lines. The layout is EXACTLY like the 4th pic down. Stove/window/sink/dishwasher are in the exact spot. Weird! Only difference is my island is 9' X 6' and the seats (when I get some) face the oven not the window on the 6' side. The backsplash is white subway tiles. I will add glass fronts to some of the cabinets someday. I also have a floor to ceiling built-in of cabinets/drawers/counter in the adjoining keeping room that is all cherry. It has a wine cooler and some bubble-textured glass front cabinets to hold glasses. Not an entertainment unit-different wall. It's sort of a bar/everything storage space. It's BIG. The ceiling in the entire downstairs is like in the 5th pic down. I love my house! I smile every time I go in it, which is almost always from the garage and into the kitchen. :) I bought it last fall and it wasn't the exact location I wanted but it's worth it! When I start blogging, I'll have to do a show and tell.
